Reflection1

I have been working on my electronic portfolio. I was looking at the courses that I had taken and realized that I have really enjoyed all of the courses. I will miss learning about the new technology with my peers. The link to my e-portfolio is http://komodo.utsystem.edu/med/sgutierrez2/eportfolio1/index.html. I am still working on this portfolio, but here is my draft.

Janie,

Overall, your eportfolio is coming along nicely. The Home, Reflection Letter, Resume, Courses Taken, and Contact Me pages are fine as-is.

You still have some work to do on your Matrix Page. You will need to polish up some of your projects to show some growth between now and the time that you completed them (at least on some of the earlier projects). You will also need to focus some attention to the artifact reports since we will spend as much time on them as on the projects. Take a look at the e-portfolio page on the Ed-Tech web site (http://edtech.utb.edu) for guidance on the artifact report. There are 4 sections that you need to address for each project:

The Artifact Report:

Each product selected for inclusion in the e-portfolio must be accompanied by an artifact report. The Artifact Report is a reflective paper consisting of four sections:

1. Project Description. Provide a 1-paragraph description of the project.

2. Responsibilities Met. Identify the responsibilities met including indicators through development of the product (either in the artifact itself or in an accompanying report). Justify how your project meets these responsibilities.

3. Modifications Made. All projects are considered to be works-in-progress. Describe modifications made to your project after course completion reflecting your growth in the program over time. Keep copies of original and final drafts for all projects and include hyperlinks to prior draft(s) here.

4. Lessons Learned. Reflect on lessons learned as they relate to your professional goals, next steps, experiences, and guidelines for use with target audience (500 words).

Make sure that for each project, you only list the responsibilities that are actually addressed by the project. You should include a brief statement under this section explaining how the project addresses these responsibilities.

Part 3, Modifications Made, will require that you show some growth over time. If you can modify some of your projects to polish them up, you could provide a link to the original project and the revised project. One recommendation I would suggest, convert all reports from HTML to PDF format. PDF files retain the original format of your paper, whereas, the HTML version loses a lot of the formatting like page margins, layout, etc. Most changes are cosmetic but if you know that a project was not the best that it could be, here is your chance to make it better.
